The past two weeks have been some of the busiest and most exciting of the season, with multiple weeknight and Sunday games across all divisions. The effort, improvement, and competitiveness have been outstanding.
🏀 ACC Division Highlights
• Wake Forest edged Syracuse — 18-16
• Notre Dame remained unbeaten with wins over Duke (16-8) and Syracuse (21-19)
• Miami earned key victories over Louisville (16-14) and Duke (31-14)
• Louisville responded with a strong win over Wake Forest — 28-17
🏀 SEC Division Highlights
• Auburn picked up big wins over Florida (30-19) and Tennessee in a thriller (33-32)
• LSU narrowly defeated Texas A&M — 37-36
• Alabama earned a strong win over Georgia — 32-24
• Kentucky bounced back with a win over Florida — 36-17
• Tennessee and LSU also secured important victories to keep the standings tight
🏀 WNBA Jr Division Highlights
• Seattle Storm defeated Minnesota — 29-19
• New York Liberty earned wins over Las Vegas (33-17) and Minnesota (43-24)
• Las Vegas Aces edged Seattle in a close one — 19-17
🏀 Big Ten Division Highlights
• UCLA edged Michigan in a thriller — 46-44
• Washington defeated Indiana — 53-21
• Oregon and Washington played one of the most exciting games of the season, with Oregon winning in overtime — 66-58
• Ohio State remained perfect with wins over Oregon (46-31) and UCLA (59-39)
• Michigan earned a strong win over Indiana — 64-46
🏀 Big East Division Highlights
• St. John’s defeated Georgetown — 42-38 and later edged Marquette — 41-40
• Creighton earned a win over Marquette — 29-21
• Georgetown responded with a dominant win over Creighton — 37-0
📊 Mid-Season Standings Leaders
• ACC: Notre Dame Fighting Irish (6-0) lead the division, with Miami close behind at 4-2
• SEC: LSU Tigers (5-0) and Auburn Tigers (5-1) sit atop a very competitive division
• WNBA Jr: Minnesota Lynx (4-2) currently lead, with Seattle and New York right behind
• Big Ten: Ohio State Buckeyes remain undefeated at 6-0, with Michigan in second
• Big East: St. John’s, Creighton, and Georgetown are all tied at 4-2 in a tight race
Do not be deceived by the records — many of these games have been decided by just a few points, and every team continues to improve each week.
📅 Important Schedule Reminders
• Games scheduled for Monday, March 2 and Tuesday, March 3 have been moved to mid-April as we celebrate Purim in our community.
• After the games on Sunday, March 8, practices will resume through Thursday, March 12.
• We will then observe Spring Break from Sunday, March 15 through Sunday, March 22.
• Practices resume the week of Monday, March 23.
