🏀 JHoops Weekly Recap – Week of Oct 27 – Nov 2

Another great week of competitive basketball across all JHoops divisions! As the regular season winds down, the race for the #1 playoff seed is heating up — with several teams just a game apart in the standings.

ACC Division

The Notre Dame Fighting Irish (7–1) continue their dominant run, grinding out a 14–4 win over North Carolina and edging Florida State 20–15 to stay atop the standings.
Duke (5–3) and Miami (5–3) remain close behind, with Miami rolling past Syracuse 26–8 and Duke taking down Syracuse 19–17 in a defensive battle.
The ACC playoff race is shaping up to be a three-team sprint to the finish.

ACC Standings:

2️⃣ Duke 5–3
3️⃣ Miami 5–3
4️⃣ North Carolina 4–4
5️⃣ Florida State 3–5
6️⃣ Syracuse 0–8

SEC Division

The LSU Tigers (6–2) and Florida Gators (6–2) remain neck-and-neck atop the SEC after a wild week.
LSU took care of business with wins over Tennessee (16–12) and Kentucky (31–19), while Florida notched two big victories — 27–20 over Alabama and 21–18 over Texas.
Meanwhile, Tennessee (5–3) stayed alive in the race with a 33–7 rout over Georgia, keeping the SEC standings tight from top to middle.

2️⃣ Florida 6–2
3️⃣ Texas 5–3
4️⃣ Tennessee 5–3
5️⃣ Georgia 4–4
6️⃣ Auburn 3–5
7️⃣ Alabama 2–6

BIG 10 Division

The USC Trojans (7–1) continue to impress, defeating UCLA 42–9 and Michigan State 44–21 to stay in control.
Ohio State (6–1) kept pace with a close 33–30 win over Michigan State, while Michigan (5–3) earned a big 44–42 victory over Indiana.
Wisconsin (4–4) also found their rhythm, outlasting Oregon 41–35.
The Big 10 remains one of the most competitive divisions this season.

3️⃣ Michigan 5–3
4️⃣ Wisconsin 4–4

Big East Division

The St. John’s Red Storm (6–2) keep rolling after a 63–34 win over Georgetown, holding firm at the top of the Big East.
Marquette (4–4) surged this week with a 56–46 win over Georgetown, and Creighton (3–5) picked up a narrow 27–26 win over St. John’s to stay alive in the playoff hunt.
With just a couple of games left, seeding remains wide open behind St. John’s.
