What a fantastic opening weekend to kick off our playoffs! Sunday was filled with high energy, competitive games, and some big-time moments across all divisions. This is exactly what makes JHoops special this time of year.

We saw multiple close games and a few major upsets, proving once again that records don’t always tell the full story. Teams came ready to compete, and it showed on the court.

• Miami Hurricanes advanced with a strong 20-15 win over Duke
• Louisville Cardinals edged Syracuse in a thrilling overtime battle (12-10 OT)

🏀 SEC Highlights
• Florida Gators pulled off a tight win over Texas A&M, 48-45
• Tennessee got past Alabama, 31-27
• Biggest surprise of the day: #8 Kentucky upset #1 LSU, 36-27
• Georgia shocked #2 Auburn in another nail-biter, 28-27

🏀 WNBA Jr Semi-Finals
• Las Vegas Aces snuck by Minnesota, 25-24
• New York Liberty advanced with a 41-24 win over Seattle

🏀 Big Ten Highlights
• UCLA handled Indiana, 38-24
• Oregon moved on with a solid 48-38 win over Washington

🏀 Big East Semi-Finals
• Creighton defeated St. John’s in a close one, 57-55
• Marquette pulled off an upset over Georgetown, 37-33

👏 Overall, it was a great day of basketball with teams stepping up in big moments. As we move forward, the competition only gets tougher!
